I collected thousands of discarded lotus flowers, originally offered at temples during Cambodia’s most important annual holiday of Pchum Benh. From these I was able to make about 5 years worth of ink. Yet preparing this “sacred ink” is only one of many other things happening with my art — such as my recent move back to Australia, my upcoming exhibitions and the new series based on the areal we now call home in western Victoria.
